GENEVA - Gmedia is pleased to announce that 17 journalists will be participating in the workshop Media Empowerment on Human Rights to be held in Geneva May 21 – 25.  Six journalists were selected from Ecuador in cooperation with Fundamedios while six journalists from Tunisia were selected in cooperation with Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) and World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) to receive grant sponsorship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg, American Embassy in Tunis, American Embassy in Ecuador, and Canton de Geneve.  An additional five journalists will attend as observers from our partner Centre for Defending Freedom of Journalists (CDFJ).

Due to the high number of applications only those who were short listed have been contacted. We would like to thank all who applied and encourage you to follow our announcements for upcoming workshops and opportunities.
